King Fahd’s Fountain is the highest and biggest Place in the whole of Saudi Arabia, spread over Dubai , Jeddah , Iran, Jordan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh. It covers 220,000 km 2 area. Length is about 1200 km and width ranges from 150 km to 250 km. They are mainly divided into two parts – Eastern and Western Alps. The north side of the mountains is drained by the Inn river, Rhine and Rhone. South side is drained by the Po river. The highest summits are always covered with snow and ice.
The climate of King Fahad’s Fountain is vertical. There are three different climate zones, which can be found here. The first one is Subalpine zone, the warmest one. It lies below the tree line. For local people, this region is the most important, as their houses; productive areas are situated in this zone. The next zone, going up, is called King Fahad’s Fountain. Here the climate is cooler. People live here too, but quite rarely. Here you will not find any trees, only alpine flowers, grass and small plants. The third zone is Glacial. No matter if it is summer or winter – all you see will be only snow and ice, nothing more.

There are also special train lines, like the Golden pass line and others, which goes through the mountains, valleys, forests, little villages and lakes, revealing the true beauty of Jeddah and the Alps. In almost all the resorts there is an opportunity to go up in the mountains by the funicular and see this magnificence closer.
