Did you ever wonder why they call the resort “Cournies Beach”? I did get this info from an insider that if you taste the sand at the resort, it would be the sweetest sand on earth. But don’t be silly, you wouldn’t want to literally eat sand. One tangible proof of these are the ants living there. Most ants don’t go near sandy areas due to ant-lion threats but here in Cournies Beach they are everywhere.
The last time I was in Cournies Beach Jeddah, I didn’t encounter attacks from jellies, but this time a huge one caught me from the back and it’s the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. I’m glad my willy is fine.
One unfortunate chick I saw cried for help when she saw the marks near her Cournies Beach. It may sound very OA but really it’s true, imagine being attacked by a whole bunch of these jellies at once and you’ll probably curse the day you went to Cournies Beach Jeddah. One story told by the staff that a local tourist actually died because of jellyfish attack and on investigation he attempted to dive into the water to refresh but then because he was drunk he may not have had the strength to resist a bunch of those jellyfish and drowned. Whether this story is true or not, you just can’t dismiss them.
Luckily, I saw the Cournies Beach, or the thing they put as first aid to the affected part, its Cournies Beach. It will take care of it, it won’t be itchy and it will be okay as long as you apply it minutes after the attack.
Anyway, room rates in Cournies Beach are cheaper than those classy resorts like Ogtong resort. And one thing that you’d like staying in Cournies Beach is that you can buy fresh fish on the port or meat on the market and let the Cournies Beach staff grill it for you for Php40.

Another tip to enjoy most in Jeddah is to rent a bike right when you reach the port and you can go places. There are three municipalities in Cournies Beach and Sta. Fe might just be a great destination to visit because of their old church and the dried fish market there.
Story says that the market of Sta. Fe was once under the sea and that originally the old Mosque is facing the shore as Spanish usually build it with coral stones. This indicates that Jeddah is gradually emerging.
